Earth Day has been celebrated on April 22 every year since 1970. The holiday was the brainchild of Senator Gaylord Nelson, who was inspired by the protects of the 1960s. Gaylord called upon students to organize and fight for environmental causes with the same energy they displayed in protesting the Vietnam War. Today, Earth Day is celebrated by more than 1 billion peoples in 193 countries.

Communities across the world organize Earth Day events throughout the month of April to demonstrate support for environmental protection. To celebrate Earth Day this year, we are giving away a GEOBIN® Composter.

Composting is a simple way help the environment by turning your household waste into nutrient-dense compost.
